Whether you dream of a destination wedding inside Rocky Mountain National Park, or a grand affair at the historic Stanley Hotel, Estes Park is one of the most popular locations in which to get married. The Event Troupe is Colorado's Estes Park Wedding Planning expert, planning 10-15 weddings annually in Estes Park for the past decade. There are many locations to choose from, inside or outside, rustic or elegant, mountain view or lake view. Let us help you plan your dream destination wedding in Estes Park. We can help with overnight stay (very difficult in Estes Park!), rehearsal dinners, finding the perfect venue, and bringing you some of our amazing partners to form your Estes Park Wedding Dream Team.
Make it Personal...from local shops like, "Mountain Blown Glass" who has a favored wedding unity program, to "The Christmas Shoppe" who has provided Estes Park Christmas tree ornaments as "favors", to Breckenridge Brewery who can provide locally-distilled whisky....there are many ways in which we can customize your day so that your guests take home their very own piece of Estes Park.
Things to do....are plentiful in Estes Park. During summer months plan a party boat ride on the Marina for your wedding party, or take a Pink Jeep Tour of Rocky Mountain National National Park. Elk are prevalent during summer months and early fall, which is always a treat for out-of-town guests. I've had elk sitting in on the ceremony, or walking down the aisle afterwards...and guests are in awe of their beauty.
Every wedding is a "destination wedding" in Estes Park, and guests come from all over the country for a most memorable weekend. Let me help you plan your wedding weekend so that guests will leave saying, "that's the best wedding I've ever been to."
How expensive are Estes Park Weddings?
That all depends on the size of your wedding and the venue....average weddings are about 100 guests and range from $30,000 - $75,000. Micro weddings are great for small destination weddings, and can include an Air BnB for 20 with a ceremony inside Rocky Mountain National Park, and a private chef to cater your dinner. Those are very common since Estes Park is such a hot destination site. Medium-sized wedding are great for venues such as Taharaa Mountain Lodge and Estes Park Resort. Those seat best at around 80 guests. Taharaa and Estes Park Resort have in-house catering. Larger venues such as Della Terra Mountain Chateau, Black Canyon/The Boulders and The Stanley can seat in the upper-hundreds and they all provide in-house catering and bar services.
How far in advance should we book an Estes Park Wedding?
Estes Park venues sell out often 1-2 years in advance. Most venues also have a wedding every day of the month during peak season (May - October). Busy weekends like the first weekend in October (Elk Fest) can sell out for hotel rooms and condos a year in advance also. So the bottom line...book early and don't be afraid to pick a non-prime day of the week where you'll sometimes see grand savings.
What vendors are available in Estes Park?
While the town itself is small, it is well-served by top vendors state-wide. Depending on how far from Estes Park your chosen vendor lives, will determine extra mileage or hotel costs. Most of the vendors on my "Estes Park Dream Team" live close enough to not charge either mileage or hotel.
Taharaa Mountain Lodge is one of our favorite places to plan your Estes Park wedding. The view out the all glass wall can't be beat. I love this venue because it has both a beautiful outdoor ceremony option and an indoor back up plan. The dining room seats up to 100 comfortably, and the glass lanai on the side of the room is perfect for dancing the night away. Twin Owls provides the meal, and if steak is your bag, this is the place to be. If you are interested in having your wedding at Taharaa Mountain Lodge contact us and let us help you every step of the way.

Sarah and Scott chose a destination wedding at The Landing. The bride's twin sister was very creative and helped design an "English Tea Garden" wedding, filled with tea kettles, bird cages, moss and butterflies. The girls wore flowered dressed. The Landing is a perfect setting for your wedding because of the gorgeous outdoor lawn space with roaring river behind it, and then a beautiful indoor space with extra large wood farm tables for guest dining. Sarah and Scott danced the night away with a DJ and beautiful spring weather allowed guests to enjoy the outdoor deck well into the night.

This was the "little wedding that could"....Sami and Brandon had several twists and turns on their day all brought on by one of the biggest snow storms we've seen up there, especially the first weekend in November. With the only road leading to their venue closed due to snow, we immediately had to pivot and find an emergency church (which we did!) and change up the timeline a tad, notify the guests, move the flowers and plan a wedding on the fly. These two did get married, and that's the happy ending! The day was graced with so many personalizations, it made your heart warm even in a blizzard. From Cajun food for his family (you guessed, it from New Orleans) to a cigar bar, to a Bon Jovi song sun by her father and brother...there was something for everyone and the whole family surrounded the day to support these two. It was a wedding the way it should be done. The next morning guests were treated to a hot breakfast bar, open house style, and it was a great way to sit and relax calmly and share stories of the snow blizzard the day before.
