Matthew and Whitley dreamed of a destination wedding in the high country. He had been skiing in Colorado several times, and she had never been to the mountains. After choosing Copper Mountain for their nuptials and weekend extravaganza, we got to work designing the vision and choosing perfect vendors. I loved the customized "tequila toast" during the ceremony at Koko's Hut. Their design concept was a blend of navy, burgundy and orange, perfect for fall in the mountains. We scheduled in some time alone for them to ride the chairlift to the top and back with their photographer to get these opportunistic and memorable photos.
A mountain wedding in fall is dreamy, and filled with reds, yellows, oranges and changing leaves. The tables were filled with lush, fall flowers bringing out pops of color. Taper candles gave the tables height and texture, while blue silk runners grounded the space. Silk, burgundy, waterfall napkins laid beautifully under gold chargers. Matthew and Whitley's destination wedding was exactly what they envisioned.
The devil really is in the details, and the Event Troupe specializes in details. For Whitley and Matthew we had mountain sugar cookies made for each guest and tied on tags that provided each guest's table seat. We also brought in life size stand-up cardboard cut-outs of each of their dogs who could not attend from Texas. When you're planning a destination wedding, it's important that your planner is able to store all of your decorations and props and deliver them to your mountain wedding venue as part of the services.
We love our clients, and their love stories. We can help you tell your story on your wedding day.
