If you want to get married with altitude...A-Basin is the right wedding venue for you. Olivia and David came to the Event Troupe with a high order. All guests will ride the chairlift up to get to the wedding, and down to get home. We quickly went to work devising plans, working cooperatively with the venue, as we built a dream wedding.
Fit with a "just married" sign...the chair lift made a memorable "first ride" after their "I Dos". It takes about 30 minutes to get all the guests up on the lift to the ceremony location. And then after dinner, the lift is continuously running to get guests down the mountain as they want to go home. Vendors...sign a release, pop in the 4wd, and drive up the mountain to load in and out. Driving down the mountain after the wedding is quite scary because the mountain does not have street lighting. Wanting all guests to feel safe, we developed a plan for luminaries to light the walking path to the lift, and our "wedding favors" were lighted fiber optic wands to give guests and extra bit of lighting.
The bride and groom set the stage for fun with their perfectly choreographed first dance. Both were ballroom dancers in college, and this first dance was a show-stopper. After dinner the guests really let loose and the dance floor was rocking all night long.
